Lessons Learned, Future Visions

Lessons Learned, Future Visions

Date, Time and Location 10/19/2009 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Sorrell Center, UNMC Campus, Room 2018, Emile and 42nd St., Omaha, NE

Target Audience: Nurses
When people think of risky and dangerous behaviors, seeking healthcare should never be on the list. Sadly, for hundreds of thousands of Americans over the past few years, negligent actions by our doctors and nurses have exposed us to deadly diseases like HIV and hepatitis. These outbreaks have a devastating effect on the people and communities impacted. It is our hope and goal that a blood-borne disease outbreak should never again occur because of a medical professional's oversight or lack of knowledge. Come join us to learn what you can do to be a patient advocate and make a difference for patients!

Purpose Statement: To explore how to become a patient advocate and impact practice from both an individual and systems perspective.
